Audition Info
Welcome! We can't wait to see you. At Katia and Company auditions, everyone stays for the entire time and callbacks are incorporated into the first audition. You may attend either day and location. If you are shy or don't want to audition for a lead, you may skip any portion of the audition. Everyone is cast in the show no matter what.
You may attend either audition location. We may have two casts or double cast some roles. If that's the case, we would love for everyone to be a part of both casts either as ensemble or crew on your off nights.
AUDITIONS:
Monday, 8/24, 5:30-7:50 at Katia and Co, 503 South Palm Dr
Wednesday, 8/24, 4:30-6pm at Hall Middle School, Larkspur, in the gym
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals take place on the day and time you singed up for. If you are cast in a role with a solo, you will have one or two rehearsals outside of the regular rehearsal time to learn it. If you are interested in being a dancer, they rehearse Saturdays, 12:30-2:30 in Novato.
PERFORMANCES:
Both casts perform 2-4 times between Oct. 21-Nov 1 at Novato Theater. Schedule will be available after casting once we determine how many casts, etc. If you have a conflict in that time period, let us know before casting.
Here's what to prepare and expect at auditions:
Acting:
You will be given a scene and side to read from the script. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Dance:
This is not a big dance musical, so we may or may not dance. No advance prep needed.
Vocal:
Everyone should prepare two cuts. Prepare the "Everyone" cut and select one additional cut from the choices below. You should have these memorized and bring the character's energy to your song. If you do not wish to audition for a lead or solo role, you may sing with a partner or skip the singing portion.
